What's Going On

In case you're wondering what goes on downstairs at Taxpayers for Common Sense, I've been doing lots of reading. As of late, the subject has been primarily ethanol and the various virtues and vices of its production and consumption. At the moment, I'm slogging through, and I do mean slogging, the fascinating (but technically beyond me) work of UC Berkeley Professor Tad Patzek. The article in question is his latest and most damning indictment of the gross amount of energy needed to produce a single unit equivalent energy in ethanol. I'll let his work speak for itself. Check it out here.
