From An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding:
"The most lively thought is still inferior to the dullest sensation."
Ho, ho! That statement seems to be crying out to be countered with a real world example. The only one that I can think of stems from a health class discussion of human reproduction and certainly can't be recounted here. If anyone has a more sanitized case, do let me know.
