Thanks to Congress

...and the impending recess, work has been a little slow as of late. That gave me time to peruse the latest offerings in tech news, leading me to this worthy article. In many late night conversations with other college students (Nick is probably rolling his eyes), when I'm feeling particularly farsighted, the conversation has managed to mention two major questions: storage and access.

Post-personal computer revolution the amount of commentary, publication, human expression, if you will, has exploded unlike anything since the invention of the printing press. Concomitantly, the demand for storage has shot through the roof. These guys are here to solve that problem cheaply. Storage, when you're talking about it in big terms, isn't just about the actual hard drive. You also have to factor in power consumption, heating issues, and stitching bundles of drives together in massive clusters. The characters at Capricorn have managed to solve all those problems at a fraction of the price of competitors. Founded in 2004, they making waves fast. But read the article for the whole story and a sweet breakdown of exotic terminology for superdy large storage sizes (waaaay beyond "petabyte").

Righto.
