And to Bed...

While attempting, in vain, to read my way into the Land of Nod, I came across this hilarious line in Leave It To Psmith, an outrageously hilarious P.G. Wodehouse novel:

"I must confess that, when I found him here just now standing like Marius among the ruins of Carthage (the allusion is a classical one, and the fruit of an expensive education)..."

Marius...in the ruins of Carthage. Aaaah. And to think not only is it the fruit of an very cheap education (luckily enough for me) that I appreciate that joke, but also unlike Marius, I have managed to stand among the ruins of Carthage, albeit long since they stopped smouldering and Polybius ceased his mockery of Scipio for weeping.

I think it would be wise, for the sake of my health to avoid attempting to use P.G. Wodehouse as material to 'help me get to sleep.' Ha.
