The Show to Come
Wyoming and its tales on are on their way. In the interim, some random musings:
"We vote for our politicians only every few years, and are presented with a whole package of policies. But the market allocates goods smoothly across the planet, on the basis of our daily decisions on what individual items to buy or not to buy."
Any time someone tries to tell you that voting out a politician is a market consider the above quote. Let's be honest, folks. In few industries other than cell phones do you sign a contract that forbids you from changing the provider of a service for years to come. Imagine if you could only buy milk, clothes, manicures, and travel services (like a travel agent might provide) from a single source. Obviously, it would be a difficult decision to select a new politician, if the each was good at three out of the four.
Anyway, Wyoming, Yellowstone and the environs were fantastic. That's what's up, in addition to a rant or two against Kaplan Premier and the spectacular horse puckey that is SAT tutoring (don't tell anyone else I said that).
P.S. The quote above comes from this eminently readable article: Friedman's Lessons for Europe.
