Curious Word: Bailiwick

Another gem from the Prof:

1. A person's specific area of knowledge, authority, interest, skill, or work.
2. The office or district of a bailiff.

Let's be honest...I just like the sound of the word. "No, sir, that is most certainly not my bailiwick."

"My bailiwick has never been with women."

(A spy might say:) "I have not and will not expose my bailiwick."
